Description
This quarto book contains 16 original woodcuts by Los Angeles printmaker, graphic artist, and Hollywood set designer Stephen de Hospodar. The images were printed from the original blocks on fine, hand-made Tamahachi laid paper by Langdon Pierce, Pierce Press, Pasadena, CA; binding by McManus & Morgan of Los Angeles, CA; privately published by the artist in Los Angeles. Foreward by Everett Carroll Maxwell.
A note on condition: the spine cloth is split and the illustrated coverboards are age toned and exhibit small water spots. Otherwise, the binding is tight, the paper signatures are in very good condition, and the images are strong and unblemished. Price reflects condition.
