Description
Alone on the Beach, is one of a series of four etchings from the suite, Homage to Boudin. The scene is tribute to the paintings of beach scenes at Trouville and Deauvllle by the French painter Eugene Boudin (1824-1898). Boudin was a marine painter and is attributed with being one of the first artists to painter outdoors. This is a typical beach scene of the 19th century with women in full dresses sitting on chairs shaded by parasols.
