Description

There was speculation that this etcher was Danish and another colleague thought German. Whichever it is I cannot decypher the name.

The image is strong - a laborer uses his body to push a handle attached to a movable pole. In turn, a rope, attached to a screw press, turns its handle to apply pressure to a platen, probably to grapes or apples.
