Description
Wendell Corwin Chase and his brother Waldo S. Chase learned the color woodcut techniques while living in a tepee on Mount Rainier in Washington in 1916. They had a copy of Frank Morley Fletcher's 'Woodblock Printing...' and began creating color woodcuts. In 1924 they changed their imagery to focus on Northwest subjects.
