Description
An Abstract Expressionist interpretation of Los Angeles' Echo Park neighborhood, featuring one of its wide, twisting streets tucked into tree-dotted hills. At the time of this work's creation, Wall Batterton was working as both an artist and printer at Kanthos Press with the studio's founder, Joe Funk (1914-1981). It appears that Funk was the printer for "Echo Park," his chop being in the lower right corner.
