Description
According to Deborah Caplow, Mendez began his collaboration with the famed director, Emilio Fernandez in 1947 for the film Rio Escondido. The linocuts, Mendez's interpretations of the theme of the film, were shown full screen as backdrops for the film's title and credits. In 1948, Mendez's linocuts were published in the portfolio Rio Escondido. The individual titles and their dimensions follow:
