Tadeusz Lapinski appears to have used multiple techniques when applying the inks to the sheet, using split-fountain, ink spatter, and etched-effect lines created by laying down thread or wire on the sheet prior to printing that was then lifted from the still-wet, heavily inked composition, forming a secondary patterning effect upon the spheres and fractal shapes.
