This impression is titled by the artist in pencil on the verso. Miles notes: "Very rare. Never reprinted. Edition 25 There is a good possibility that this is a direct reference to the Pearl S.Buck novel of the same name, published in 1931. Buck won the Pulitzer Prize for the novel in 1932. This print depicts a farmer plowing the fields with a two horse drawn plow. The walled village is in the background.
