Description
Kristina Hagman learned printmaking from Ron Pokrasso of Graphics Workshop in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Sheila Coppola of Sidereal Press in Seattle, Washington.
Hagman did this color woodcut of the Northern California coast in 2012. The composition is of the Trinidad State Beach, located at Trinidad Bay on the Pacific Ocean in Humboldt County. The offshore rocks are a California Coastal National Monument.
Trinidad is located on the Pacific Ocean 8 miles north of the Arcata-Eureka Airport and 15 miles north of the college town of Arcata. Situated at an elevation of 174 feet above its own North Coast harbor, Trinidad is one of California's smallest incorporated cities.
