Description
After the Altamira Cave paintings by Henri 'Abbe' Brueil (French: 1877-1965), the first archeologist to date and catalogue the art works. The cave is located in the village of Antillana del Mar, Cantabria, Spain, and this polychrome bison is found on the cave ceiling. Winkler created a series of several charcoal, conte crayon, pastel, graphite, and ink drawings of such imagery, well as carved figures from prehistoric eras.
