Description
Printmaker Holly Downing has been working on a series of mezzotints related to the toll that pollution and human interference is taking on the creatures that inhabit Earth.
"Loss" focuses on the close-up of a tiger. One example of human intrusion is the Siberian Tiger which live primarily in eastern Russia's birch forests. Illegal poaching and deforestation are devastating the their natural habitat and only 500 Siberian Tigers are known to exist.
