Description
When asked about the imagery of this screen print, Frieda responded: 'The technique is all screen printing. I took a series of photos of bonfires of woodlands. There was a highway project that destroyed great swaths of woodlands to widen the road from Athens to Augusta, Georgia. Traveling from Augusta to Athens, I was moved to photograph the destruction. Later, when Trump was elected President, these images seemed like the perfect metaphor for the way he is destroying our world.'
