Description

This trial proof, one of five, is from the collection of Atelier 17 printmaker Fred Becker. The print is unsigned and the top 3/8" of the plate were not printed, though this is a beautifully printed proof. It is the trial proof of third and final state. Hayter also proved one impression of this state with a green-black ink

This plate was also used to create two plaster prints, one which is in the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.
