Description
Longtime printmaker Dennis Ray Beall completed this work at age 86. This intense color lithograph depicts two red suns in a yellow sky, perhaps an artist's intuition about our planet's future, or just an aesthetic choice.
Like other artists, writers, and fimmakers whose vivid imaginations found foothold in the solar system, Beall borrows from the familiar - earth and sea - and superimposes alien orbs over the sky, lending an alien feeling to what might otherwise read as traditional landscape.
This work is one of a few experiments Beall created at Taglio Litho studios in Northern California.
