Description
Minami mastered the art of reframing those things which might be overlooked in the world, proffering the quiet lives of children, insects, and plants as worthy subjects for contemplation. Here, the dual existence of solitude and companionship in the company of a pet is presented with precise, if minimal, decoration. A girl in a patterned sundress stands still as her blue, bird-shaped kite catches a gentle wind; her dog watches on. In the background, not too far from their excursion, is the simple, welcoming, protective shape of home.
