"Lola" was among the lithographs in the possession of Arthur C. Painter whose collection was an in depth holding of unsold lithographs from the San Francisco Chronicle's Contemporary Graphic Series. It is possible that Oldfield produced this lithograph with this series in mind but it was not selected. The story behind the beautiful woman, Lola, has been lost in time.
