Description
The main body of this composition was created with two mezzotint plates, with the black rectangle printed first, then the right half printed over in a semi-opaque green. Hamanishi then cut two lino blocks in mirrored, asymmetrical shapes, aligned at the far edges of the rectangle and printed in a satin black, creating a subtle, minimalist dimensionality to the image.
