Description
Very little is found on the life of Anita Bucherer-Godeffroy, though she was prolific artist who worked in drawing, painting, and three dimensional works. It is known that she was born in Germany and studied in France, including with printmaker Stanley William Hayter, and by the 1960s she was working in New York and Mexico. This drawing shows the clear influence of Latin America's magic realism of the 20th century, in the style of Jose Luis Cuevas.
