Description

There are about 372 species of parrots that are found in tropical and some subtropical regions. Parrots are often brightly colored and are thought to be one of the most intelligent bird species. They have curved beaks, strong legs and clawed feet. These three parrots where drawn by Rytter on November 2, 1922.

From the collection of the Danish writer, critic, and collector, Georg Frederik Brøchner (1847-1933). Brøchner wrote many articles for The Studio and The International Studio.
