Description
This 16th century stone arch span, known as a packhorse bridge, appears to be the Essex Bridge in Staffordshire, England. It is among the least altered bridges remaining from that century.
From the collection of the Danish writer, critic, and collector, Georg Frederik Brøchner (1847-1933). Brøchner wrote many articles for The Studio and The International Studio.
