Description
South African-born English artist Susan Seddon-Boulet is most known for her fantasy paintings inspired by the folklore of Argentina, where she was raised on a citrus farm, as well as Jungian philosophy, spirituality, and the natural world. Though she would become known for her later work, paintings and pastels which dealt primarily with goddesses and other female deities, her earliest work reflected her interest in notable women of the medeival and renaissance periods. Here, a noblewoman in late 15th century garb is depicted in the foreground, with two horses and a rider- perhaps herself - in the background, four orbs suspended around them.
