Description
A RARE portrait of Gala Chamberlain of the Annex Galleries done by artist Art Hazelwood, done in 2015 to honor her 65th birthday. Gala, who finished the catalogue raisonne on printmaker Gustave Baumann in 2019 after nearly three decades of work, is depicted in screenprint in a Baumann octagonal format, used for a couple of his early floral woodcuts.
The work is titled in the screen in the lower left of the frame and has Baumann's name and hand and heart chop in the lower right of the frame.
