Description
"Al-Aqsa II" was published by the Bauhas Archive in an edition of 150, plus 3 Artist's Proofs and printed in San Francisco at Edititons Press.
This unique proof is the "Right to Print" impression for the printer Evelyn Lincoln at Editions Press in San Francisco. It is annotated, signed and dated by the artist in blue ink in the lower margin and varies slightly from the editioned print, which followed his instructions.
"right to print / Herbert Bayer/april 27/79" in lower right;
This impression gives an insight to the collaboration between the artist and the professional printer. The printer then prints the edition which is numbered and signed by the artist and distributed by the publisher.
