Description
Siletz is a city located in Lincoln County, Oregon. It's named for the Siletz tribe, now a part of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. The "valley" Belzman refers to the one which surrounds the Siletz River, along which are situated several towns and cities. Here, Belzman depicts a typical rainy day in rural western Oregon, with agricultural land grazed by cows and the dark gray silhouettes of pine trees lining a hedgerow.
