Description
The initial take of this work is of a bright, colorful mixed technique intaglio by Atelier 17 trained artist Gail Singer. However, the title reveals a more disturbing image and the color takes on a new dimension. Singer printed this in both 1960 and 1961, each proof differing in color. She titled an earlier impression "Flagellation." See our biography above for more information on the artist.
