Description
This engraving of a bear hunt has been attributed to Mannerist engraver Aegidius Saedler (ca. 1570-1629), done after a design by Jan Brueghel (1568-1625) between 1578 and 1624, though the Saedler attribution is now questioned.
Two hunters and their four dogs have a bear surrounded in a mountainous landscape with Roman ruins and a valley and city in the background.
