Description
Though this print is unsigned the artist wrote the title in the lower left in green pencil. Perhaps this impression is a proof.
A view of Innsbruck, looking down into the center of the old town. Wilten Basilica's steeples can be seen in the background. The Hofburg's dome and the Hofkirche steeple are in the middle ground.
Innsbruck is the capital city of the federal state of Tyrol (Tirol) in western Austria. It is located in the Inn Valley at the junction with the Wipptal (Sill River), which provides access to the Brenner Pass, some 30 km (18.6 mi) south of Innsbruck. It is about half way between Munich (Germany) and Verona (Italy).
