Description
A surrealist drawing from around 1939 by sculptor Pamela Boden. "Ischia" is a volcanic island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, not far from Naples. It has a mountainous terrain and the famous Arragonese Castle fortress that is located off the coast and connected by a bridge. The fortress, built in 474 BC was built to protect the island from pirates. For more information on Pamela Boden, see our biography above.
