Description
Ian Strang was the eldest son of the great British etcher William Strang. Ian Strang studied at the Slade School in London and in Paris. He was known for his detailed, yet austere cityscapes, such as this image.
"Harley Street", located near Regent's Park in London, is one of Strang's more noted etchings and is typical of his printmaking, executed with precision and perfect pedrspective, yet the image is not photographic. Harley Street has long been the medical center for London and has hundreds of doctors offices, schools, hospitals and health care organizations are based on or near Harley Street.
