Description
This impression, numbered 39, is somwhere between the two impressions illustrated on page 50 by Kendall Brown. There are no seals, like B46 and all of the information is written within the image, unlike B45, which is numbered 47. There is a second figure, also like B45. The coloring is also closer to B45. (See following) Miller wrote about this print: "Down at the end of our village street there is a sloping hill leading to the beach by the great, smoooth-flowing river of the Han. Along this noble highway pass picturesque junks and here I like to sit and watch their richly tinted sails swing slowly by. Sometimes the sails are an orange, faded by the hot Korean sun, but when they are new they are often a rich tone of terracotta, very pleasing to the eye against the browns and greens of the distant bank."
