Description
The Miser is a five act play written by French actor and playwright Moliere (the stage name of Jean-Baptiste Pouqelin) in 1668, in the commedia d'ell arte tradition. In 1966, the San Francisco Mime Troupe first performed their rendition of the play, and continued to perform it for several years. The character Pantaleone is shown here in a mask, dancing beside the character Mariane.
