Description
Leslie Cope depicts a man riding home on a draught horse with another following behind, their forms reflected in the post-rain soaked road. The man's demeanor is casual, as he faces fully out to the side with his legs dangling, as if tired from a long workday. In the background is the bell tower of St. Pancras Church in Widicombe-in-the-Moor, one of the villages of England's famous moorlands of the North and Southwest.
