Description
Mark Luca presents a scene of violent chaos seen through a shattered lens in his abstract lithograph, "Far Right v. Far Left." The work's title is the only suggestion of political narration while the image itself is a universal one of struggle and the human condition. Having been raised by Bay Area artist and activist Jessey Dorr (1877-1978) and Angelo Cappiala Luca (1892-1970), a Sardinian immigrant described in an interview with Jessey as a revolutionary, the subject matter of "Far Right v. Far Left" is unsurprising.
