Sculptor Israel Levitan studied with Amedee Ozifant and Hans Hofmann, who suggested he take up sculpture. He spent 1950-51 in Paris studying with Ossip Zadkine. He returned to NY where, in the mid 1960's he opted to stop showing and selling. This is a line drawing, working on sculptural forms.
