Description
Now a member of the Society of Canadian Artists, Schiffleger did this as an experiment with a shaped plate at the University of Wisconsin in 1960. Echoes of mid-20th century American experimental printmaking are evident in her use of mixed technique intaglio and a structured, tonally balanced Abstract composition.
