Description
In this stark and powerful composition, Richard Correll captures a dangerous beauty found in the form of industry. Smokestacks billow forth toxic clouds into the sky as anonymous workers, dwarfed by the structure, enter the building below. It is as much a commentary on the looming dangers of progress as it is a strong use of modernist chiaroscuro.
