	Description
Tragelaphus strepsiceros, known as the greater kudu, is a woodland antelope found throughout eastern and southern Africa. The color varies from reddish brown to blue-gray with white markings, an adaptation for concealment that includes 6-10 vertical torso stripes, a short spinal crest, a nose chevron, and small cheek patches. The males have spiral or corkscrew horns that take six years to complete two full turns. These marvelous animals are endangered due to a declining habitat, deforestation and poaching.
