Description
After the 1895 poster for Giffard's Menthe-Pastille Liqueur by artist Mifliez Ferdinand, who signed his work "Misti." Menthe-Pastille liqueur was first developed in 1885 by pharmacist Emile Giffard as a heat-relieving digestif for customers of the Grand Hotel. The white mint liqueur was so popular that Giffard retired and turned the pharmacy into a distillery. The company expanded to include other liqueurs and flavored syrups and continues to operate to this day.
