Portraits in Print - Introduction

This on-line exhibition features portraits of people, the famous and the anonymous, from business leaders to family members, charicature to cartoon to formal poses.  Mankind's need to immortalize our image is as ancient as art itself and we have used all the media to accomplish that - painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, murals, graffiti and, perhaps the most versatile - printmaking.  Printmaking offers the possibility of getting your image to a large number of viewers, something that photography and now the Internet has allowed those of us from 20th and 21st centuries to readily accomplish. But there is an element that only printmaking can bring and that element, whatever it is, is what we offer for your viewing.
