Biography

Little is found on the early 20th century British artist Ruby M. Hare, including her birth and death dates. However, it is known that she was a printmaker and painter who exhibited with the New English Art Club (NEAC) and the International Society of Sculptors, Painters, Gravers (ISSPG) between 1914 and 1918, and was commissioned to create illustrations for Colour Magazine in 1915 and 1921. She was given a solo exhibition of architectural engravings at the Adelphi Gallery in 1920, and exhibited with ceramicist Dorothy Willett Glow in a two-person show at the Kensington Fine Art Society Gallery in London in 1922.
