Patricia deGogorza




Patricia deGogorza, sculptor, printmaker, and painter, was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 17, 1936. She received her BA from Smith College in 1958 and her MA from Goddard College in 1975, and between 1956 and 1960 she worked with Stanley William Hayter at Atelier 17 in Paris. DeGogorza has taught both printmaking and sculpture extensively at Bard College, Goddard College, University of Vermont Burlington, and Vermont College at Montpellier. She is also actively engaged in her local Philharmonic Orchestra in Vermont, where she currently resides.

Her work is in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; the Collection Ville de Paris, Louvre; the Museum of Fine Arts Boston; the Provincetown Museum; and Bard College, Annandale-On-Hudson. She has had numerous solo shows, completed a number of private commissions in sculpture and has been included in as host of group exhibitions for both sculpture and prints.
