Biography

Painter, muralist, sculptor, and printmaker Scott Siedman was born in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, CA on January 9, 1948. He earned a Bank of America Award for Fine Arts scholarship to attend the California Institute of the Arts, Valencia (CalArts), where he studied under John Baldessari and received his Bachelors. Following graduation, he began working as an illustrator at the Washington Post before focusing on his own art output. Major past commissions included a mural for the UN conference on the environment in Canada, numerous church ceiling murals, and theater and film set design. He now focuses primarily on painting and continues to exhibit throughout the U.S. He is represented by Kantor Gallery in Beverly Hills, California, with whom he exhibited as recently as 2024.
