Biography

Judith K. Klausenstock (neé Faber), painter and printmaker, was born in Boston, Massachusetts on 25 March 1928 to Israel W. and Bessie Faber. She was raised in the Boston area and attended the Massachusetts School of Art. Faber received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Harvard University and continued her studies at San Francisco State University, the University of California, and College of Marin. In 1953, she married Dr. Oskar Klausenstock who became a distinguished physician and author.

Klausenstock was a member of and exhibited with the National Watercolor Society, the California Watercolor Association, the Marin Society of Artists, and the Fort Mason Printmakers. Her work has garnered awards and she has been featured in numerous articles. She was actively exhibiting through 2017 and her work is held in numerous private collections.

Judith K. Klausenstock and her husband lived for many years in Tiburon and she currently resides in San Rafael, California.
