Painter Albert Frank Jacobson was born on November 27, 1891 in Oakland, California to parents who had immigrated from Denmark. For the majority of his life he lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he married and started a family with Laura Green. and his subject matter focused primarily on landscapes, especially of the coastal regions along Monterey and Sonoma Counties. He was a regular exhibitor in Oakland, California throughout the 1920s. He died in Sacramento on May 22, 1967.
