Walter Zeising




Walter (Walther) Ernst Zeising was born in Leipzig, Germany on October 11, 1876.  He received his first education in the graphic arts from his father Franz Emil Zeising (1843-1917).  He went on to attend the School of Applied Arts in Leipzig, followed by studies at the Munich Academy as well as the Dresden Academy under Carl Bantzer and Gotthard Kuehl.  A scholarship took him to France, where he spent some years in Paris and Brittany.  Back in Dresden in 1910, he worked as an illustrator. Walter Zeising died in Dresden, Germany on January 25, 1933.
