Biography

Pam Beedle, later Pamela Sherborn, was born Pamela Hart Wilson on November 13, 1942, in San Rafael, Marin County, CA. Her family moved just north to Sonoma County when she was still a child, and in 1960 she married Clarence Beedle in Santa Rosa. In 1969 she graduated with honors from (and later taught printmaking at) Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, Sonoma County, California; this was followed by her MFA studies at the San Francisco Art Institute. She would later marry Dr. David Sherborn in Kentfield, Marin County, where she lived until her death on January 9, 2018.

An article from the Palo Alto Times, 1980, reads: "Pamela Hart Beedle's pieces involved media such as powdered pigment, spray paint, pencil, powdered graphite, and collage. Many of her works, such as those in her Desert Series, are comprised of several media, often combining spray paint, ink, mono printing, and powdered pigment." An exhibition of her works was highlighted at the Santa Rosa City Hall in 1974.
