Description

Keith depicts two Japanese children, dressed in colorful clothing, playing with a ball. The older girl, whose robes would seem to be confining, teases the younger child with a ball on a string.

The Miles catalogue raisonne of Keith's prints notes: "Reprinted through 1936 by artisans, Watanabe is supposed to have stopped printing this image when anti-foreign feeling made sales to increasingly scarce Westerners unlikely."

This impression is titled in pencil on the verso.
