Description
One of a series titled "Double Images," 16 lithographs done mainly as large diptychs and triptyches done at Tamarind in 1967. According to Gene Baro, in his raisonne of Nevelson's prints notes: "The irregularly shaped papers, referred to as "flaps" are blotted rather than printed images. The flaps were placed face down on wet lithographs and run through the press, receiving a second light impression of the image underneath. Shirakawa, a light weight Japanese paper, was used in hinging the lithographs together."
