Ginno captures a family farm during harvest, chickens loose at the feet of the woman collecting cabbages, a man resting on the back stairs. In the background, laundry flutters on the line. All around, the fullness of summer presents itself in leafy trees and a clear sky.
Ginno, who later went by her husband's surname Winkler in her non-professional life, presented two disctint styles throughout her artistic career. Early works were representational and graphic in style, and often focused on domestic life and landscapes; later works delved into the surreal and abstract, and were experimental in nature.
