California artist Gordena Parker Jackson depicts a classic hip-roofed Victorian cottage with dormer windows and a wrap-around porch, enveloped by cobalt shahows and a bright spring sky. This house was probably situated north of the San Francisco Bay Area. Her imagery often incorporated cypress trees and the lush green foliage of coastal California's spring landscapes. Her travels took her from Mendocino and Lake counties down into the Central Valley and Santa Cruz.
